Earrings

How do I take care of my earrings?

Your earrings can last ages if you take good care of them and handle them gently. Keep them away from chemicals (including make-up and perfume), pets, small children, and sharp objects that can scratch the surface. Any specific tips for your purchased designs will be included in your package. 

Polymer clay jewelry can be cleaned with water and (mild) soap – you can use your fingers, a soft toothbrush, or a cloth to clean the surface if needed.

What if the item I want is out of stock or I want a different color?

You can sign up to the waitlist on the product listing page to be notified when it comes back in stock. If there is no waitlist subscription button, it means I won’t be making any more of this item.

You can always message me to make requests, but I cannot guarantee that I will be able to make what you are looking for.

I signed up for the waitlist but have never received a restock notification

Because I have very limited energy, I am not able to make many earrings at a time. I also enjoy spending time on new designs rather than only remaking old ones.

This means that restocks happen infrequently – probably only once (rarely maybe twice) per year for each design. I try to wait with a restock until I have a decent batch of earrings made so that I do not notify the whole waiting list for just one or two pairs. 

When will the next restock be?

The only answer I can give is: I don’t know. Since I live with a chronic illness, my energy can be very unpredictable. Sometimes I have a good day and then take advantage of it by doing a restock. Because of this, I can’t inform customers in advance. Sign up to the waiting list and you will receive an email when the restock happens!

For new releases, I send out a general newsletter and post countdowns and notices on Instagram.

(If an item has been released before, it will have a listing in my shop.)

What if I'm sensitive to stainless steel?

Some listings have a titanium or 925 silver earring option. This is visible on the product page in a dropdown menu or checkbox just above the “add to cart” button. 

If your desired listing does not have these options, you can always send me an email or DM me on Instagram and I’ll let you know if I can make it especially for you with 925 silver or titanium instead (only for in stock items, not sold out miniature plant designs).

Why is the 925 silver earring option gone?

I am phasing out the 925 silver earring option as I am not planning to buy more of this material.

I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the many different miniature plant design options and am therefore cutting down on the SKUs by removing the 925 earring option. So sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, the long lead time I often have is tricky with 925 silver as it tarnishes. I therefore strongly prefer working with stainless steel, which is a great option for most people.

Most miniature plant designs still have this option but I will slowly be removing it as I run out of 925 silver earrings. If you are currently waitlisted for one of these designs then it will be restocked at least once more before the option is removed!

Are your earrings heavy?

Far from it! Polymer clay is extremely lightweight. Studs are usually under 1 gram each. XL studs and dangles are usually around 1-2 grams each. Far lighter than most earrings and the feedback I get from customers is that they are extremely comfortable to wear all day.

What materials do you use for earring findings and posts?

Every product listing details the materials used – but almost always I use stainless steel. Stainless steel is super durable – it’s strong and doesn’t change color or tarnish. See the question on sensitivity to stainless steel for alternative metal options.

Orders + Shipping

What if I filled in incorrect shipping information?

Please email me urgently with your order number and correct shipping address and I will change your information (it’s easiest to just reply to your order confirmation email).

Unfortunately, if your order has already been sent, there is nothing I can do.

Do you do combined shipping?

Yes! Combined shipping is available if you order consecutively to the same shipping address. Please be sure to message me straight away – simply reply to one of your order confirmation emails and include both of your order numbers in the email message.

For larger restocks/releases, there will be a free shipping code on the Thank You For Your Order page after you checkout your first order. Please use this for free shipping on your second consecutive order.

I will then ship your items in one package. 

This will help on plant restocks and releases if you want to check out quickly, and then want to add something else from the shop. Just make sure to message me so I know about it! I’ll probably catch it myself but it’s always helpful if you give me a heads up.

Can you hold my order?

Of course! If you are going to be away on holiday for a long time and you live in a country where mail is always delivered in person (not through a mailbox) this is possible. Just reply to your order confirmation and let me know until when you want me to hold your order.

In the Netherlands, your order will simply be delivered in the mailbox whether you are home or not. But not all countries work this way so please reach out to avoid your package being returned!

What if i want to send my order as a gift?

All Claymeleon orders will now be sent in gift-ready, beautiful packaging! (Either gift boxes or gift bags, depending on the design).

If you also want to add a message, write it in the comment box at checkout and I will include a card in your package. You can also ask for an empty card if you want to write on it yourself!

I didn’t receive a confirmation or shipping email.

You should get an order confirmation within 10 minutes of your order. Please check your spam folder. If it’s not there either, contact me and I’ll see what I can find out. 

I keep missing out on restocks - how can I check out faster?

If you create an account, you can enter all of your shipping information ahead of time. This helps you to check out faster and ensure your shipping and billing information is correct.

Many designs are highly in demand, which means that they sometimes sell out within minutes of being released. You definitely need a bit of luck in that case. But making an account will definitely help speed you up.

You don't ship to my country, what now?

Send me a message (use the contact form or DM me on Instagram) with which country you’d like me to add and I’ll let you know if it’s possible.

I’m sorry, but I can’t ship to the UK anymore because of the strict post-Brexit rules for business packages.
